Love Me Not

Sweet Flower, have you basked in the glow of another, only to realize that you weren't the only one?

Maybe that wasn't the worst part, maybe you were positioned to compete for attention of a loved one?

Maybe this poem should be titled Narcissus. Because this is exactly what we are talking about: a Narcissist.

Loving someone who is unable to truly love another can be incredibly painful and damaging. I wish someone told me to not pull out my petals and to stop questioning and doubting my lovability.

If you are spending a lot of time in these circling thoughts as I once did, I am sending you a big hug. You deserve the sun, the moon, and the stars, not someone who thinks they are the Sun God for you to worship.
