The Awakening Rose

Awakening to love isn’t always easy, especially when many of us have been hurt in the past and as a result we have put barriers up. Being vulnerable and open can be risky, which is why there is courage in loving.❤️

After much heartbreak 💔 and loss, I have had to inquire what it truly meant for me to surrender to love. What does that even mean? How could I not get hurt again?

The truth is that any time we love, we are opening ourselves up for loss, at some point in time, whether by choice or by death.

That realization hit me like a ton of bricks. But at the same time, such gratitude poured through me, which allowed me to be more present and savor the little moments of my life. And it allowed me to to find a way to love others unconditionally, without expectation that they will love me in return. 🕊
